Gym bags fail for a reason no other bag shares: what goes into them is wet, and it stays in there. As gym bag manufacturers in Chennai we design around that first — ventilated shoe compartments, wipe-clean waterproof lining and hardware that will not corrode — and produce for gyms, sports academies, corporate wellness programmes and retail brands.
Designed around wet kit
The main compartment is lined in wipe-clean PVC-backed fabric with taped seams, so damp clothes do not soak into the body of the bag and leave it smelling permanently of the last session. The lining is a separate layer, not a coating on the shell, which means it can be wiped down properly.
Ventilation is done with mesh-backed eyelet panels on the end walls rather than a single token grommet, so air actually moves through the bag while it is closed.
The shoe compartment
A separate bottom-access shoe compartment, fully isolated from the main body by a sealed divider, sized for up to a UK 11 trainer. It vents through its own eyelet panel.
On the larger duffels we add a second zipped wet pocket on the end wall for a used towel or swimwear, again isolated and lined in the same wipe-clean material.
Hardware built for a humid city
Chennai humidity kills cheap hardware. We specify coated coil zips and nickel-plated or acetal buckles throughout — not raw steel, which will bloom with rust inside a season on a bag that is regularly damp.
The base carries moulded feet so the bag can be set down on a wet changing-room floor without wicking water up into the main compartment.
Team and brand branding
Sports and team branding is usually multi-colour, so sublimation across a full panel is the default rather than embroidery. The print is applied to the panel before assembly, so there is no cracked edge at the seam.
For gyms and wellness programmes we also produce smaller-run barrel duffels and drawstring sackpacks in matching branding, which is generally the cheaper way to cover a whole membership base.

Does the gym bag have a separate shoe compartment?

Can the lining be cleaned?
The main compartment is lined in PVC-backed wipe-clean fabric with taped seams. It wipes down with a damp cloth. This is a separate lining layer, not just a coating on the shell, which is what makes it actually cleanable.
Will the zips rust?
We specify coated coil zips and nickel-plated or acetal hardware throughout precisely because these bags stay damp. Raw steel hardware would bloom with rust within a season in Chennai humidity, so we do not use it here.
Can you print team names on individual bags?
Yes. Individual name printing is available on top of a common team design. Send the name list with the order and we will proof the layout before production.
What sizes do you make?
30 to 60 litres in barrel and duffel formats. We also make drawstring sackpacks in matching branding, which usually works out cheaper if you need to cover a large membership base.
